MURNI: Multidisciplinary Review of Nusantara Innovation, published by the Ikatan Sarjana Nahdlatul Ulama (ISNU) Sukoharjo, is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the publication of high-quality, interdisciplinary research. The journal examines innovative solutions and theoretical advancements relevant to the Nusantara region (the Southeast Asian archipelago) and beyond.

Driven by the publisher’s commitment to intellectual empowerment, community resilience, and the advancement of moderate, progressive values, MURNI welcomes submissions from a wide array of disciplines. We invite empirical and theoretical contributions that address:

  • Technological and scientific innovations for sustainable regional development.

  • Social dynamics, cultural preservation, and the humanities within the Nusantara context.

  • Community empowerment, economic strategies, and public policy formulation.

  • The intersection of traditional knowledge, socio-religious values, and modern scientific paradigms.

Peer Review Process

All research articles published in MURNI undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. Initial submissions are evaluated by the editorial board for alignment with the journal's multidisciplinary scope and foundational methodological standards. Manuscripts that pass the initial desk review are assigned to at least two independent, expert reviewers. The evaluation process assesses theoretical robustness, methodological validity, original contribution to the relevant field, and adherence to academic integrity.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without requesting prior permission from the publisher or the author.

Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. MURNI is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and actively prevents publication malpractice. The journal adheres to the Core Practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Plagiarism, data fabrication, and redundant publication are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate rejection or retraction.

Archiving

To ensure the long-term preservation of our published scholarly content, this journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries.
